Existing Registrations in Process

If you have already registered via Form C (MS word file) prior to 29th June 2007, or are in the process of completing your credit card payment, you will need to go the Credit Card Payment Form (pdf) which should be completed and faxed to SAGE publications as soon as possible. Please note: you cannot now change the options you have already selected on Form C and need to keep the same options when you complete the credit card payment form.

Registration Guidelines

Before you complete Form C, the Registration Form, please consult the registration guidelines. All conference participations must complete the form in full.

Registration Form

All conference participants must download and complete the registration form (form C). The form includes your choice of payment mode, lunches, opening reception etc. The form must be completed even if you intend to pay later or by cash at the conference. Please make sure to save a copy for your own records before emailing it to info@u-mat.org

Payment Method

Advanced registation can be made by credit card using the internet payment links below. To take advantage of the early registration fee you should register as soon as possible and not later than March 31 2007. It will also be possible to register after this date at the higher late registration fee level.

Credit Card Payment(Closed)

Credit Card Payment using Visa, MasterCard and AmEx is acceptable, up to 10 July. Payments are in £ (UK pounds sterling), but $US (United States dollar) approximate equivalent fee levels are indicated on the form. Please note that £ Sterling is definitive and $US amounts are approximate and can change with currency fluctuations.

On-site payment in Japanese Yen

If you intend to pay in Yen at the conference, on or after July 13 2007, this means you have to pay the higher on-site fee. You must still complete the registration form now. After July 13 2007 at the conference, payment can be made ONLY by paying in cash in Japanese Yen. Bank cheques, travellers cheques etc. cannot be accepted. As the conference is on a weekend followed by a public bank holiday, no banks will be open in Tokyo for the duration of the conference. If you intend to register on-site you will need to pay cash. Personal cheques cannot be accepted. Make sure to bring sufficient Yen in cash with you, or obtain it from currency exchanges before the banks close at 3.00 p.m. on Friday 13 July 2007. Fee & Payment

Cancellation Policy

Up to and including 31 March 2007, we will provide a full refund (there may be a small handling charge). After 1st April 2007, fifty percent refund. After 6th July 2007, no refund. In the event that your paper or organizing proposal is not accepted and you decide not to come to the conference, we would refund your fees in full.

Registration fees

Registration fees include admission to all sessions plus the conference participants' pack with programme, abstracts etc.

Postgraduate registration

Postgraduate registration is only possible via the Tokyo office. If you are applying from outside Japan, please complete the registration form in the normal way.

Accommodation

Accommodation is not available as part of the registration package. Please see the Tokyo Details page for information on hotel types and the Conference Travel Agent. There are also details of postgraduate student accommodation options.

Accompanying persons

Accompanying persons can be admitted to the opening reception only. You need to indicate this option on the payment form. If you want to bring more than one accompanying person, still tick the box on the form below and email us separately with the number and details. (Now closed)

Ticket for reception, lunches and refreshments

All ticket for opening reception, lunches and refreshments in breaks must be purchased in advance. (Now closed)

Lunches

Lunches are not included in the registration fee. If you require lunches you must indicate by choosing one of the numbered options which includes lunches on the form below. The fee covers 3 lunches for Saturday, Sunday and Monday. It will be a Japanese style lunch box (Bento). The round tables will take place over lunch.

Refreshments

Refreshments are not included in the registration fee. If you require refreshments in conference breaks you must indicate by choosing one of the numbered options which includes refreshments. The refreshment fee covers morning and afternoon breaks. Tea, coffee, mineral water and light snacks will be available.

A Welcome Reception

A Welcome Reception will be provided on the first day. It will include a substantial buffet (Japanese and Western food) and drinks. You need to indicate if you wish to select this option.

Special needs/requirements

If you have any special requirements (access to rooms, medical etc.), please indicate on the registration form. We will do our best to accommodate special needs wherever possible, but occasionally the nature of buildings or facilities may prevent us from meeting every request. We will do our best to advise and cater for special dietary requirements.
